[In the back of her mind, Kikyo is surprising herself. Not only is she touching Naraku, but she's comforting him. Without fear of deadly repercussions.

Adstringendum is having its way with them. But, even knowing that, she has no desire to leave him. Not yet.]

... [She feels herself smiling at the sound he makes.] Thank you. [Brushing back his bangs, she kisses his forehead. At the touch, her mind reels and she pulls back awkwardly, wincing.]

[ The way she kissed him made his heart flutter, and his eyes widen. Jeez Kikyo, he's been waiting for years from that. He's so stunned that he doesn't realize she had winced and pulled back. Instead, he blinks, and simply resumes his seated position against the wall, blushing slightly. ]

[Kikyo pulls back and touches her lips. There was pain associated with touching him, but not as much as usual. If she is to stay close, she will have to shield herself so that she doesn't Purify any of his demons on accident.

Though she isn't sure when she started worrying about Purifying him.
